A renowned television host who is known as the “Oprah of China” has opened the doors to her lavish $20 million New York City townhouse as she attempts to find a buyer for the iconic abode.
Emmy-winning TV host and cosmetics mogul Yue-Sai Kan proudly showed off her stunning dwelling in the tony Manhattan enclave of Sutton Place, which she snapped up 30 years ago for $5 million, while speaking to TikTok sensation Caleb Simpson.
Kan teased that she was selling her home for “very cheap” before welcoming viewers into the unique pad, which comes complete with its own secret garden and ceilings adorned with gold dragons.
The 76-year-old began by showing off her jaw-dropping front door, a carved wooden creation that she revealed she had “made in Bali” decades ago and tells the story of “Ramayana,” an ancient Indian poem that details the life of Prince Rama.
The pad is situated along the East River and boasts access to the exclusive Sutton Square garden.

Unlike many other dwellings in the concrete jungle, this one has its own plush garden, allowing the most famous woman in China to reconnect with nature amid New York City’s hustle and bustle.
“Originally built in 1920, this Neo-Georgian mansion has been reimagined through a meticulous $9 million renovation, transforming it into an 8,500-square-foot, seven-story masterpiece with seven bedrooms, 7.5 bathrooms, and a collection of balconies, terraces, and oversized windows that capture the river and gardens at every turn,” the listing reads.
After going through the incredible wooden door, guests are welcomed by an expansive living area with crown molding and a gold dragon painted on the ceiling, which she noted gives the room “a lot of movement.”
Another living area boasts similar crown moldings, a cozy fireplace, and large windows that allow natural light to flood inside.
Yet another lounging space comes complete with a grand piano and light blue crown molding.
The master bedroom features enough space for a king-sized bed, a futon, and comes with several windows that showcase the lush backyard.
The master bathroom comes with a large soaking tub and patterned wallpaper.
It also has its own walk-in closet for the future owner to get their glam on in.

The chic dining area features modern overheard lighting and enough room for a large table.
There is also an adorable eating area, complete with a breakfast nook and a cozy fireplace.
One of the other bedrooms features a blue wall and patterned furniture.
Elsewhere in the home, there is a large workout space that is currently decorated with yoga mats.
The outdoor area is described as an “entertainer’s dream” thanks to its “1,600-square-foot rooftop terrace with panoramic skyline and river vistas.
“Designed for unforgettable entertaining, it features a full outdoor kitchen with a professional grill, refrigerator, wine cooler, and wet bar—ideal for hosting under the open sky,” the listing notes.
“Set within one of Manhattan’s most private enclaves, it offers the rare opportunity to live in a one-of-a-kind townhouse with history, elegance, and unparalleled access to the hidden green heart of Sutton Place,” the listing adds.
TikTok users were bowled over by the property, with one remarking, “OK, after seeing the house, she is right, $20 million is cheap for this.”
Another warned: “The person who buys this house better not change a THING.”
