A Palm Beach, FL, mansion that is nestled within the presidential security zone that surrounds President Donald Trump‘s Mar-a-Lago resort has hit the market for $19.5 million—offering a premier level of privacy enjoyed by just a handful of people on the globe.
Located just two blocks away from Mar-a-Lago, which Trump and his wife, Melania Trump, listed as their primary residence after his first presidency came to an end, the four-bedroom, 5.5-bathroom property is described in its listing as a “serene private retreat.”
However, the dwelling offers far more than privacy—thanks to its plum spot inside one of the “safest” communities in the U.S.
“The security zone, which is a five-block radius around Mar-a-Lago, has proven to become the safest part of Florida,” said listing agent S. Andrew Roopchand of Compass, who pointed out that, while the property comes complete with a top-of-the-line security system, the constant presence of the Secret Service essentially makes that redundant.
“There is a 24-hour security system for the home, but you really don’t need it with the best security system in the world (the Secret Service) right in your backyard,” he added.

The Trump security zone runs north from the club for seven blocks, or about half a mile, to South County Road—and whenever the president or his family are in town, the road is open only to property owners, or their authorized representatives or workers.
Walking routes between homes within this security zone and Mar-a-Lago cannot even be mapped on Google because of the rigorous restrictions.
Anyone who violates the security zone can be penalized by a civil fine of more than $88,000, and/or a criminal sentence of up to 12 years in jail and $10,000 fine.
However, with such strict safety measures come some inconveniences: Traffic is regularly rerouted in the area, while airspace is always restricted over the club. That restriction zone expands with temporary flight restricts whenever the president is in residence at his Florida retreat.
“No person may operate an aircraft over or in the vicinity of any area to be visited or traveled by the president, the vice president, or other public figures contrary to the restrictions established by the FAA and published in a NOTAM,” the FAA previously told NBC Miami.
There are even restricted areas on the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean, which are enforced by the Coast Guard.
In the wake of Trump’s nomination as the Republican candidate for president, homes within the security zone have been flying off the market, according to Roopchand, with high net worth buyers descending on the area to enjoy their own slice of presidential paradise.
“At the end of last season, over 20 homes were sold within the security zone, so it’s a very sought-after location, especially for foreign leaders and business people who want to be closer to the president,” he said.
While many of the properties located within the security zone are older—with some even marketed as teardowns—Roopchand notes that this dwelling is different.
“Most of the homes in this location are older, period-built residences, but this one is very new for Palm Beach, especially in the security zone,” he noted. “It is also one of the cheaper per square foot homes on the island, and being a 2016 or newer home is also a nice selling point.”

Built in 2017, the 6,823-square-foot estate boasts a sun-soaked open floor plan surrounded by luxurious modern finishes.
Designed for both intimate gatherings and grand-scale entertaining, the elegant residence offers numerous lounge areas for relaxing.
“It took the builder and homeowners four years to build the home,” Roopchand added. “Everything was imported and every attention to detail was considered, which is what sets this house apart. For example, they have a $500,000 water softening system that is the same one featured at Brooklyn Water Bagel.”
Double entry doors open up to a two-story foyer with a grand curved marble staircase. The gourmet chef’s kitchen has custom cabinetry, illuminated displays, a spacious island, breakfast bar, and high-end appliances.
A cozy living room with gas fireplace boasts floor-to-ceiling windows and access to a spacious back patio. There is also an onyx backlit bar for entertaining along with a glass-enclosed wine display.
“The house is ideally set up for indoor and outdoor living,” Roopchand noted. “It is also very symmetrically laid out for feng shui.”
A decadent upstairs primary suite has a gas fireplace, private balcony, and dual bathrooms with walk-in showers. There are also three additional en-suite bedrooms with access to private terraces, along with a fitness center and home office.
“I think the next buyer will use it as a seasonal property,” he said. “The buyer pool we have seen so far has attracted a younger crowd in their mid 30s to 40s. It will probably be a younger family who will come down for the season and spend their summers in the Hamptons.”
A sun deck overlooks the resort-inspired pool with water features. Several covered patios and lounge areas along with a built-in summer kitchen for alfresco dining and entertaining can be found in the lushly landscaped retreat lot. The property also has access to a private beach.
