Holding one’s cards close to the chest while house hunting is a common approach savvy buyers take to maintain bargaining power—so when one “90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way” cast member abandoned that strategy completely and went into ecstasies over a potential property purchase, it left her husband somewhat unamused.
Manon and Anthony Berryman, who have been married for four years and share a young son, Ben, are are one of six couples navigating a move abroad on Season 7 of the hit TLC show, which premiered in September and is a spinoff of the original “90 Day Fiancé” series.
In the upcoming episode of the show, the couple are seen house hunting for a new family dwelling in Manon’s home nation of France, having spent several years residing together in the U.S., where Anthony is from.
When their relationship first blossomed, Manon left Marseille, France, behind to live in Los Angeles with California native Anthony, but after the stress of sustaining the “American dream” started negatively impacting their relationship, they’ve decided to make a move to Manon’s home country.
“The American Dream is actually killing me,” Manon says in a trailer for the new season, to which Anthony adds, “So we are moving to France to save our marriage.”
Now, in an exclusive clip from the upcoming episode titled “Kicking the Ant’s Nest,” the couple continuously clashes while checking out a potential home to purchase in the small southeastern village of La Provence Verte.
As soon as they pull up to the traditional stone farmhouse, the digital marketing coach and stay-at-home dad are greeted by Kris, the real estate agent tasked with taking them around the approximately $421,000 property.

After they exchange brief pleasantries and agree to speak in English so Anthony can understand, Manon vocally pushes for the tour to commence.
“Please let’s go, yes, please let’s go,” she pleads.
Kris immediately picks up on her enthusiasm and doesn’t even finish his own sentence so he can get the walk-through under way.
“Let’s start our journey because I see that you’re—follow me,” he says.
Manon’s face completely lights up as she enters the living room and kitchen area through a door with an ornate image on it and walks past a bright orange wall to get to the kitchen peninsula that’s covered in aqua-colored mosaic tiles.
Behind the peninsula, stainless steel appliances stand beside mismatched wooden cabinetry, and vertical rectangular brown tiles are lined up across the countertops and backsplash. Rustic stones of varying shapes and sizes make up the kitchen floor, which also contains a grid pattern.
Manon not only likes what she sees in the kitchen, but she starts to share her vision for some slight upgrades.
“Oh, the kitchen! I think that I like it,” she says. “You can still try to modernize it a little bit but keeping the style. And, we’re not spending too much, it’s not like crazy expensive to re-do.”
Kris confirms the couple can indeed “keep the style of the house” while personalizing it to their tastes, and Manon can’t wait to see what else the house has in store.
“I want to see more, please,” she says. “I want to see more.”

Kris leads the Berrymans to a small bedroom with cream walls and colorful furnishings. There’s a window covered by a yellow and orange stripe curtain, and pink and green standing shelf unit filled with books and toys. The existing bunk bed prompts Kris to suggest it could be perfect for Ben.
“The first room here for your guests, children maybe,” he proposes.
Yet, Manon has other ideas and is quick to rattle off how she would occupy the space.
“Or even an office space because I do sometime, like, remote work so I’m going to need a room actually for work for sure,” she says.
Anthony finally interjects to say the room should be “for Ben,” but Manon shrugs him off in anticipation of other options.
“No, there’s multiple rooms; Wait,” she scolds.
Next up is the bathroom, which boasts a pebbled glass door, golden yellow walls, and painted wooden cabinets. Opposite a white toilet are a sink and sloped-back bathtub that are both coated by tan square tiles. More rustic stone flooring lays below.
Kris breaks out some French to call the bathroom the jewel of the dwelling, and Manon can hardly contain herself.
“And here, you will find the bijou of the house,” says Kris. “Handmade, not standard, exceptional.”
“Look at that sink,” says Manon. “I love it! I f—ing love it! Look at that bathtub.”

Anthony also approves, albeit in a more reserved tone.
“It is really nice,” he notes.
The tour continues through a hallway that leads to a room with what appear to be wide plank light whitewashed wooden floors and two twin beds separated by a nightstand. Warm peachy walls are illuminated by an ornate pendant light fixture above, though it’s a light blue tiled standing shower with chrome plumbing fixtures that stops Manon in her tracks.
“And there’s another shower right there, so it’s a master?” she asks.
When Kris affirms the presence of not one, but three showers, Manon practically squeals that “there’s three showers!”
While Anthony stays mostly mum in front of the real estate agent, behind the scenes in a confessional, he confronts his wife about how she’s totally abandoned their plan.
“I thought we were supposed to be playing it cool,” he says.
Upon hearing Anthony’s criticism, Manon is having none of it. She points to her success as a plus-size content creator as proof she knows the right way to play her hand.
“Yeah, that’s exactly what I’ve done,” she refutes. “You show them interest. You show them you’re excited so they are like, ‘Ooh, she wants it,’ OK?
“Like, who’s the queen of networking like you said? Bebe, right here,” she says while pointing to herself. “Who doesn’t have any friends, doesn’t have any network? You. So, please trust me.”
That’s when Anthony offers Ben as his rebuttal.
“Woah, I’m not on my own anymore,” he says. “I’ve got my companion. His name is Ben.”

But Manon has heard enough, and fires back that Ben is “a baby who doesn’t speak yet.”
Not accepting defeat, Anthony states that Ben “speaks to me.”
Back on the house tour, the trio exits to the backyard through a glass door positioned behind floral curtains and step across more natural stone tile flooring to see a rectangular pool with an above-ground built-in hot tub.
“Oh my gosh, can you imagine waking up naked from your bed with your cup of coffee, you just took your shower,” muses Manon. “Hear the birds and, oh, look at that view! Can I cry?”
“Go ahead,” answers Kris, as if to encourage Manon’s emotional attachment to the dwelling.
Anthony concedes the home “has charm,” and Kris adds his insight into why this dwelling is so special.
“It’s not the prefab, like you say,” says Kris. “It’s not the standard.”
Meanwhile, Manon is still imagining herself living in the house, and waxes on about its positive qualities, including the comfortable distance it sits away from her parents’ place.
“You can go in the pool naked, no one sees you, it’s so, like, private and stuff,” she says.
“I love what I see,” adds Manon. “There’s a lot of potential even if it’s not completely quite perfect yet. There’s a pool, which I said it’s what I want, and the pièce de résistance, it’s an hour away from my parents’ house. Far, but not too far. Close, but not too close. You know what I mean.”
It seems clear Manon is all set to settle into the countryside abode, though it remains to be seen whether or not Anthony is sold on the new home in a new country.
“90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way” airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on TLC.
