Palm Beach Mansion Bought as a Teardown by Its Neighbors for $15.5 Million Is Put Back on Market Just 1 Year Later—for Nearly 4 Times the Price

A Marion Sims Wyeth-designed compound in Palm Beach’s Estate Section has just hit the market for $59 million—just over a year after it was purchased by two neighbors who planned to raze the Florida property and split the parcel to expand their respective dwellings.

The nine-bedroom estate, which is nestled in the Trump security zone and boasts private beach access, was snapped up in June 2024 for the relatively meager price of $15.5 million, almost a fourth of the ask now attached to the dwelling.

At the time, it was widely reported that the buyers, Kim and Todd Michael Glaser, and entities linked to socialite Jane Holzer, had split that cost—each paying $7,762,000—and were planning to demolish the 12,000-square-foot home and split the land evenly.

The Glasers already owned the home directly behind this property, which they bought for $23.3 million in 2022, while Holzer snapped up the parcel in front of it for $7.9 million in 2008, with plans to build her own dwelling on the land—presumably one that would have encompassed part of the property she bought with her neighbors.

But just 16 months later, the Mediterranean-style mansion has bounced back onto the market and right to the top of the week’s most expensive homes list, suggesting that the buyers have abandoned their plans to tear it down, perhaps in a bid to take advantage of the island’s sizzling hot real estate market.

Luxurious amenities found throughout the 12,000-square-foot residence include a wine cellar, living room with 35-foot ceiling, a primary suite with dual bathrooms, an in-ground pool with two story cabana, and a six-car garage.

More jaw-dropping estates to make the week’s most expensive homes list include a waterfront mansion currently under construction in Miami, the Atlanta White House owned by a former nail technician who later built a beauty empire, and a Colorado mountain retreat located just minutes from Aspen.
