Caitlyn Jenner made a surprise return to the Kardashians’ on-air universe this week, when she reunited with her former spouse, Kris Jenner, and their children as they said goodbye to the iconic California mansion where they spent years filming their hit reality show.
Kris, 69, who listed the Hidden Hills home in February, shocked her family when she revealed that she had invited her ex to a special farewell dinner held inside their home of 15 years.
“Your dad and I bought this house many years ago, and I think one person isn’t here that should be here to say goodbye with us to this house,” the Kardashian matriarch said.
The momager—who welcomed two daughters, Kendall and Kylie, with Caitlyn during their marriage, then noted that their goodbye “wouldn’t be the same” without her former spouse—who then proceeded to stroll through the front door, leaving the rest of the family in shock.
“I was just saying, we bought this house for Kendall and Kylie and all the kids to grow up in, and we were so excited to make so many special memories,” Kris added.

“That is so true,” Caitlyn, who hasn’t appeared on the reality TV show since it premiered in 2022, said.
The former Olympian was a key member of the cast of the family’s original E! series, “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” much of which was filmed in and around the Hidden Hills residence. However, when they ended that series and launched a spinoff—”The Kardashians”—on Hulu, Caitlyn claimed at the time that she was not invited to be a part of it.
Posting on social media, she said it was “unfortunate to not be given the opportunity to continue the show,” however, she was “happy” for her family.
So her appearance in front of the cameras was all the more surprising to her children—who were left open-mouthed to see her step foot inside the dwelling.
Kris then explained that the reunion had been very much a last-minute arrangement, telling her family that she had called Caitlyn on a whim to ask whether she’d be able to join them.
“About an hour ago, I called Caitlyn and I said, ‘What are you doing?’” Kris revealed. “And of course, she said, ‘I’m eating dinner and watching Fox News.’ I said, ‘Of course you are.’ And I said, ‘Would you like to come say goodbye to El Dorado Meadow with us and be with your kids?’ And she said, ‘I’m on my way.’
“It’s only right for Caitlyn to be here tonight too, because she actually was part of all those amazing memories. It wasn’t just my house—it was our house,” Kris added in a confessional.
The elegant dwelling served as the Kardashian family’s home base for more than a decade and was regularly featured in episodes of their hit E! show.
“Keeping Up With the Kardashians” fans will immediately recognize the six-bedroom property’s dramatic black-and-white entryway, which features two grand staircases that lead up to the second floor.

Kris, who is mother to Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, Kendall, Kylie, and Rob, purchased the home with her former spouse for $4 million in 2010—three years after the Kardashians’ wildly popular series debuted.
However, in the 15 years since she bought the home, Kris’ life has changed dramatically—as have the lives of her children.
In 2015, she and her spouse divorced after more than 20 years of marriage and just a few months later, Caitlyn came out as transgender during an interview with ABC News’ Diane Sawyer.
Kris, who is now in a relationship with talent manager Corey Gamble, has also expanded her property portfolio and no longer uses the enormous abode as her primary residence.
Her children have also welcomed kids of their own and purchased their own sprawling megamansions in and around Los Angeles—and beyond.
Speaking about her decision to sell the expansive 8,000-square-foot abode, Kris told the New York Times that she believes the time has come for another family to make their own memories within its walls.
“I’ve shared so many unforgettable memories in this incredible home with my family, and I’m excited to see it start a new chapter with its next owners,” she said.
The outlet noted that nobody is currently living in the property—which has been listed by Tomer Fridman, of Christie’s International Real Estate Southern California—and the furniture featured in the listing photos was brought in especially to fill the home while it is on the market.
However, should a potential buyer take a liking to the interior decor elements, there is an option to purchase the property fully furnished for an additional $400,000.

Though the Kardashians’ original furniture may not feature in the listing photos, the spaces inside the home will no doubt be instantly recognizable to their most avid followers, including the monochromatic foyer, which served as the backdrop for hundreds of social media photos over the years.
Photos taken at Kris’s annual holiday parties often featured the sweeping staircases, which were decked out in extravagant decorations, with multiple Christmas trees scattered throughout the grand entryway.
Similarly, the bedrooms will no doubt ring a few bells for “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” fans, who watched a then-teenage Kendall and Kylie Jenner grow up inside the abode, while their older siblings would regularly stop by to visit, gossip, and eat salads around the kitchen table.
According to the Times, Kris’ son Rob, 37, lived in the home most recently; however, all of her children are understood to have resided there at one point or another, even though they all have their own stunning abodes.
In 2022, Kris proved the enormity of her own real estate collection when she candidly confessed that she had forgotten about a Beverly Hills condo she owned, revealing that she primarily used the property for storing champagne and wrapping Christmas gifts.
“Here’s the thing. I have a condo, and my mom has one, and my cousin has one, and we all live nearby. I kind of forgot it was there,” Kris admitted during an episode of the family’s Hulu spinoff, ‘The Kardashians.’ “That sounds ridiculous, doesn’t it?”
However, while she’s selling what is perhaps her most famous home, Kris isn’t leaving the neighborhood altogether, having purchased two other homes in Hidden Hills since purchasing her for-sale abode.
She picked up one abode in 2017 for just under $10 million but sold that off just three years later, having renovated the home extensively before deciding to put it back on the market.
That property was located across the street from her daughter Kim’s house.

Sticking with what she knows best, Kris continued her real estate retail therapy in the Hidden Hills area, this time with her daughter Khloe.
In 2020, the mother and daughter duo were understood to have bought adjacent abodes in the exclusive neighborhood, with Kris paying $20 million for her piece of the property pie.
Eager to ensure that her latest home buy could serve as her longterm residence, Kris embarked on a gut renovation of the existing structure in order to create her dream abode, which she unveiled to the world in a 2022 episode of “The Kardashians.”
And it appears that plan worked given that she’s now finally walking away from the residence that has served as something of a “backup” abode for so many years.
Though it may no longer be to Kris’ tastes, the home in question offers an array of top-of-the-line amenities and decor features, starting with the oh, so iconic entryway, which the listing describes as a “soaring foyer.”
“From the moment you enter, you’re greeted by a breathtaking double staircase in a soaring foyer, setting the tone for the grandeur within,” the description states.
Perhaps one of the most alluring aspects of the home, at least for prospective buyers with large families, is that all six of the bedrooms boast en suite bathrooms.
The primary suite offers an enormous spa-inspired bathroom, as well as a fireplace, wet bar, steam shower, and gym, with the listing describing it as a “private retreat.”
“With endless opportunities for relaxation and recreation, this home is truly one-of-a-kind,” the listing concludes. “Live like a star in this legendary estate where timeless elegance meets Hollywood prestige.”
